quite the wonder

Well, it's the end of the road with FM for now, the last beer: Maravillas APA.  I don't remember having this one in the brew pub, since I tend towards the darker, heavier offerings, but I might have tried it when the Flipa had just run out.  It's similar to Flipa in appearance, a bit darker in color, but a little sweeter and orangier in aroma.  The flavor is a calm blend of bitter and sweet, with a little crack of citrus at the end.  It's a sweeter and lighter sort than Flipa, but a nice clean ale.  I can just barely pick out a little of the tropics; this is a solidly citrus ale.  While easy to swallow, there is a creaminess that gives it just a little weight.  It's a simpler beer in the mouth, but refreshing and satisfying, one of those you get in the middle of deep conversation so you don't get distracted.

Now, we're supposed to be on our way to the "new normal", so it might be the case that watering holes will be opening back up soon.  I have my doubts about some, though, since their dimensions make it hard to maintain social distancing.  FM, for example, might only fit three people at a time.  That's no way to run a bar!
