Suffering triple digit (Fahrenheit) temperatures makes one long for a stimulating drink. Fortunately, the beer stores have bottles in a fridge, just waiting to be picked up and hurried off for a quaffing. Studying the selection carefully, I finally opted for La Loba, a domestic IPA. Pale ales tend to be good for high temperatures, and it has a good back story on the label.

A sour-bitter smell wafts off the opened top, with almost comic-like streams of particles. It's awfully heady, white and fluffy on top. The beer itself is tannish-gold and slightly opaque. It's bitter tasting, but not terribly much, maintaining a smoothness that quenches thirst will alerting the tastebuds. There's a little bit of fruitiness hiding in the flavor, that comes out first in the aftertaste but gets stronger as drinking progresses.
