Yeah, yeah, we know what sells |
Almost ridiculously aromatic and bubbly before it even leaves the bottle, once released from those confines it settles down immediately. It has a healthy pumpkin orange color, with the white head on top like pumpkin pie a la mode. Its unfiltered nature is, perhaps, glaringly obvious, but the flavor is subtle and calm, not reaching a crescendo of bitterness until a couple of seconds after swallowing. It seems to be the balance of smooth amber versus hopped up ale that creates the smooth, refreshing texture. I don't detect the strong citrus that accompanies most IPAs, so it's a welcome variation.
